BAI GANG

As the first featured artist of FoLA Gallery, Bai Gang brings together solid artistic training and years of creative practice to form his distinctive painting language. His journey spans professional art education, oil painting research, and teaching, reflecting a deep exploration of visual expression, emotional depth, and artistic spirit.

MATERIAL

Bai Gang was born in 1987. He graduated from Tianjin Academy of Arts and Crafts in 2009. He pursued further studies at the Central Academy of Fine Arts from 2009 to 2012. From 2014 to 2015, he studied at the Chinese Oil Painting Art Research Institute. He is a member of the Tianjin Artists Association.

 

Currently, he serves as a teacher at the Western Painting Research Center of the Li Keran Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing.

Exhibition experience:
In 2019, his work “Tajik Father and Son” was selected for the 13th National Fine Arts Exhibition in the Tianjin section.
In 2020, his work “Self-Portrait” was selected for the Sixth Explore. Discover Oil Painting Newcomers Exhibition of the Chinese Art Research Institute.
In 2020 his work “Tajik Father” won the Silver Prize at the Second Velasquez Painting & Sculpture Competition. His work “Xinjiang Gorge” received the Excellence Award at the Second Velasquez Painting and Sculpture Competition.
In 2024, his work “Negotiating” was selected for the Guangdong Fine Arts Exhibition.
In 2025, his work “Negotiating“ was selected for the Sixth China National Ethnic Arts Exhibition.
In 2025 his work “My Childhood Toys” was selected for the Second Excellence Award in Still Life Oil Painting at the Chinese Art Research Institute.
